Peter is the director of The New Family, the parent company of New Review and New Projects. He has been actively involved in local theatre for over six years.

Sophie Dearing


Sophie is a 16 year old media student who also has a passion for theatre. She have been involved in different aspects of theatre, however there's nothing she enjoys more than doing the lighting or sound and doing her bit to support local theatre. 


"There is so much to theatre that some people would never understand, the key aspects such as acting, singing and dancing go a long way however the technical aspects are just as important. What makes theatre so fantastic is the fact you can really let yourself go. One minute you could be watching a pantomime and feel like you're in your own fairy tale or you could be watching a Shakespeare that allows you to go back in time." 


Sophie loves theatre because it gives her the chance to display my creativity and feel more confident. It has given her lots of experience under pressure which is an essential skill when it comes to not only theatre but many other jobs too. She is both passionate about, and dedicated to, theatre. It is an essential aspect of people's lives and she believes that it is something that can really be enjoyed by everyone. It's important that people have the opportunity to get involved and really experience something wonderful, to be able to show their diversity, different talents and skills that they have and to have fun at the same time!
